Some of us see new year = new beginning. Thinking this is the year that you’re going to accomplish whatever you set out to do! And then by the end of the year you realize…maybe this wasn’t the year after all. 🤦♀️
I’m not here to put a damper to your new year. I’m here to tell you, you can do it! But I want you to also know, sometimes you’ll try and fail. And then try again and fail. And it could be super frustrating and lead you to feel like quitting, and you might. But here’s something to think about.
"How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" a reporter asked Edison.
"I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." – Thomas Edison
Whatever your new year resolution is, know that it might take more than a couple of tries. Maybe it is finding your career clarity (I mean, you’re receiving my emails for a reason…unless you’re my husband or friend and I forced you to be here 😬), it might take you a few attempts to finally find it.
How does it feel now, knowing there are 10 steps to find your career clarity and you’re on step 6? Instead of thinking you’ve failed 6X?
